Social responsibility
Support the future
We don’t just take responsibility for the perfect motion of machines and systems – we also take responsibility for what moves people. We’re committed where community matters and ideas grow. That’s why we support meaningful social and regional projects – to nurture young talent and promote a strong, collaborative society and economy After all, commitment to the community is the driving force behind innovation and progress.
Supporting education
Aspiring specialists are our most valuable asset for the future. As a company, we act as a sponsor, driving force, and behind-the-scenes supporter – especially for young people in STEM fields. We invest in people, not just technology.
The Baumüller Group offers a strong start to a successful career with a wide range of training and mentoring opportunities for school students, university students, and young professionals.
Our Baumüller Academy serves as a knowledge center, educational partner, and event venue, making mechanical engineering tangible for school and university students. Through guided tours, special events, and workshops, we open the doors to future careers in technology companies.

We are proud to support, among others, the following projects:
- TUM Boring – Innovation in Tunneling e.V. with expertise and motors for developing a tunnel boring machine for the Not-a-Boring Competition
- Formula Student Team of Nuremberg Institute of Technology
- Technik macht Spaß e.V. with Andreas Baumüller serving on the board of trustees
- Participation in the Long Night of Sciences in Nuremberg
- Elective course "Robotics" at Neues Gymnasium Nürnberg
Shaping the region
As a company, we are deeply rooted in the Middle Franconia region and are committed to creating a livable and future-ready environment – for our employees and for all who live and work here.

Baumüller for the Children’s Hospital at Klinikum Nürnberg
A cause especially close to our hearts and to our shareholder Karin Baumüller-Söder is our support of the Children’s Hospital at Klinikum Nürnberg. Through our annual Christmas donation campaign “Spenden statt Schenken” (donations instead of gifts) we have supported the hospital for 22 years in acquiring essential medical equipment.
As patron, Karin Baumüller-Söder supports the construction of the new Children’s Hospital in Nuremberg. This will be a truly special building – a child-friendly place for first-class medical care for children and young people in the region.
Children and their needs are my top priority. That’s why it’s so important to me that we pay attention to them – especially in difficult situations, when they are afraid or in distress. Children are not small adults and require special medical technology designed specifically for children. Furthermore, children can only develop well and recover quickly if they feel truly comfortable.
Karin Baumüller-Söder, patron and shareholder of the Baumüller Group
Günter Baumüller, father of Karin Baumüller-Söder and Andreas Baumüller, was also a supporter of the children's hospital for many years through the Baumüller Group. After his death in 2017, a fundraising campaign by Baumüller enabled the establishment of an intermediate care unit for newborns, children, and adolescents at Klinikum Nürnberg. In honor of Günter Baumüller and in gratitude for his many years of commitment, the unit was named after him.
We are also proud to have contributed to making our region more livable and lovable through these and many other projects:
- Innovationskunst – International visibility for the Nuremberg metropolitan region
- Seelenfrieden: A project for classical music hub Nuremberg (tenor Martin Platz performs works by Nuremberg composers)
- Support for the parish of St. Nikolaus and St. Ulrich in the Nuremberg district of Mögeldorf
Promoting sports
Be in motion – that’s our motto.
We bring both machines and people into motion. By supporting regional sports clubs, we advance athletic achievements and especially promote children and young people on their athletic journey. After all, sports represent team spirit, fairness, and perseverance – values that are close to our heart as a company and shape our everyday work culture.
That’s why we support, among others, the following sports clubs:
- Yacht-Club Nürnberg e.V.
- Ruderverein Nürnberg von 1880 e.V.
- Nürnberger Hockey- und Tennisclub NHTC e.V.

Strengthening associations
The dialogue between business, education, and politics is the foundation for technological progress. Through our active memberships in a variety of associations, we help foster and sustain this dialogue. Our involvement in major industry associations aims to strengthen Germany’s position as an industrial hub for the future. We value the exchange with other companies and support an innovation-driven industry that acts responsibly and sustainably – so that innovation can succeed and bring real value to society.
That’s why we are involved in, among others, the following associations:
