Compact DSC1 servo motors have a reduced footprint

The Baumüller DSC1 motors are very compact due to their high torque density. Their minimum dimensions and low weight make the servo motors ideally suitable for movable axes. Despite their small overall installed size, the DSC1 motors cover a speed range from 750 to 4,000 rpm. For applications with high speed requirements, the DSP1 motors augment the DSC series with nominal speeds up to 6,000 min^-1.

The compact DSC1 motors are available in sizes 45, 56, 71 and 100. A smooth housing surface protects against dirt. The DSC1 servo motors are easy to assemble and have a high degree of protection (IP rating).

Another advantage: Compared to asynchronous motors, the DSC1 series has a convincingly high efficiency. The energy-efficient solution reduces the machine footprint long term. The motors are robust, low-maintenance and very durable.

DSC2: Even more compact, even more power

The DSC2 servomotors are the next generation for applications requiring high torque density. This series is characterized by its low weight and minimal dimensions. Among other things, the overall length has been reduced, making the DSC2 even more compact with the same performance.
As already known from the DSC1 product family, the DSC2 motors are scalable and adaptable to customer requirements. They cover a speed range from 1,000 to 5,000 rpm. Numerous encoder options, cooling variants, optional brakes, various customized gearbox variants and many other options also ensure that the DSC2 is perfectly matched to the respective area of application. The motor also has a low CO₂ footprint. The reason for this is the reduced use of materials thanks to the very compact design.

Servo-hydraulic drive

Our compact DSC servo motor is suitable for use as a servo-pump drive. The quantity and pressure of a directly connected fixed displacement pump can be controlled precisely thanks to the dynamic motor speed. All motors are available in an air-cooled and a water-cooled version. The DSC is also available with oil cooling. This is an advantage in the hydraulic system since the oil is available in the machine anyway. The advantage: Liquid-cooled motors have a higher power density and can therefore have smaller dimensions.

In the Standard Line, the attachment is made using the conventional solution of coupling and pump support. The second development stage, the Advanced Line, describes the direct attachment of the pump on the motor via internal toothing. Here, there is no need for a pump support and coupling, so the system is more compact and robust.
