The conversion of electrical energy into mechanical energy may appear simple in theory, however, its true complexity becomes evident in the practical implementation. This is exactly where our drive design expertise comes in A structured procedure is decisive because incorrect dimensioning can cause subsequent effort and additional costs.

The design of a drive means choosing the optimum motors and servo converters for the machine’s torque and speed requirement. Under and over-dimensioning of the drive can lead to undesirable consequences – whether a lack of performance or unnecessarily high procurement and operating costs. Our drive experts provide the necessary know-how and contribute their valuable experience for the dimensioning of the optimum drive system for your machine. We work with the SERVOsoft software tool.

We also provide support for existing machines. Send us your measurements and we will integrate them in our design software to check whether an alternative drive system could be advantageous for you. We use simulation technology for complex, non-linear movements in order to find the optimum drive system for your application.

If you have opted for a Baumüller drive system, we consider the commissioning to be a decisive step for smooth operation of your machine on the end user’s premises. Our services are aimed at providing you with the best possible support so that you can concentrate on your core business.

If necessary, we provide support for your commissioning with our intuitive ProDrive commissioning tool, competent remote support or directly with our drive experts on site. Ambitious projects benefit from the virtual commissioning on our ProSimulation tool. Different options can be determined and tested in it risk-free until the optimum result is found.
