Do you need our Service? A dense network of branches and partner companies allows is to deploy service technicians around the globe at short notice. We carefully inspect and service your machines and systems with the help of the latest testing and measuring equipment. Our mobile service teams carry out repairs on site, if technically possible in order to minimize downtime. Only original spare parts and as new replacement equipment are used.

The Baumüller drive system with a fully-electric main axis is made up of servo motors and servo drives and, compared to a conventional hydraulic solution, not only has a higher energy efficiency and productivity, but also numerous other advantages such as greater environmental compatibility thanks to the no longer needed oil, lower noise impact and maintenance costs, and higher precision.

With a servohydraulic drive, a servo pump with integrated control in the converter is used for the hydraulic supply. Baumüller designs the entire drive system including motor, servo drive and, if necessary, the pump. The connection between the pump and motor can be achieved not only as an attachment via coupling and pump support or by direct pump attachment.

The servohydraulic technology module is integrated directly in the servo drive and is fundamentally responsible for ensuring maximum utilization of the advantages of servohydraulics. The heart of the software is the flexible pressure and flow rate control in a controller cycle time of only 125 µs for maximum dynamics and precision. Thanks to intelligent feed forward pressure controls, the control adapts itself to different hydraulic ranges and thus achieves outstanding pressure adjustment performance.
In addition to the excellent control behavior and easy handling, the latest Baumüller V2+ software for servohydraulic systems also includes numerous protection and monitoring functions that further enhance the performance and reliability of the system.

Compared with conventional hydraulic or mechanical presses hydraulic drives, servohydraulic drives have considerable advantages, such as increased productivity and more flexibility. Drive solution for the main axis – scalable technology by Baumüller
Depending on the application, our system solution for the Y-axis with a fully-electric main drive includes DSD2 or DSC servomotors and servo converters, for a servohydraulic main drive, servo pumps including the software integrated in the drive are used for servohydraulic systems. The drive unit is configured individually depending on the required power. In addition to the drive system, on request, we can also build the control cabinet in-house.
The DSD2 motors are suitable for highly dynamic applications with the highest acceleration capacity requirements, and the best start-stop qualities. This motor series covers a nominal speed range from 1000 to 6000 min-1. The motors’ speed and position are very easy to control and so they are therefore also suitable as a servo pump drive. The servomotors are optimally suitable for press brakes with fully-electric belt transmission or servohydraulic main drive.
Thanks to their high torque density, the servomotors of the DSC series are very compact. Their minimum dimensions and low weight make the motors ideally suitable for movable axes. Despite their small overall size, the DSC motors cover a speed range from 750 to 4,000 rpm. They are perfectly suitable for press brakes with fully-electric ball screw.
With the b maXX 5000 and 6000 series servo converters, Baumüller offers servo drives for high performance classes. The servo drives impress with their compact installation dimensions and offer a broad and scalable selection of optional safety functions.
