Geared motor for aseptic applications

This geared motor, which was specially developed for the food and beverage industry, is characterized by its minimal design volume and high system efficiency. With four different gear ratios and three motor variants, Baumüller offers a wide range of drive systems.

The drive system is based on a standard servo motor from Baumüller's DSC series, from which a motor-gearbox combination was derived. The motor has been electrically and mechanically optimized: The integrated connection technology enables a compact system design, while a special bearing concept allows the integration of the two-stage bevel-helical gearbox. In combination with the integrated synchronous motor, this achieves efficiencies of up to 90 percent. The geared motor is designed as a slip-on version and, due to its surface finish, is also suitable for aseptic applications, for example in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries.
