What’s inside?
The drive-integrated controller b maXX drivePLC is built directly into our b maXX servo drives. Invisible from the outside, it can function as a full-fledged PLC master controller or as a subdevice. This enables completely new control architectures, even in combination with third-party devices.

What is your focus?
- Simplicity: The decentralized distribution of functions within the drive system makes commissioning, operation, and troubleshooting easier and less complicated.
- Performance: Communication regarding motion and safety functions takes place directly within the drive via the drivePLC. This eliminates fieldbus latency, and end users benefit from higher output due to shorter cycle times.
- Flexibility: As a main or sub device, the drivePLC is cluster-capable and supports centralized, decentralized, and hybrid control architectures, even with third-party controllers.
- Modularity: By distributing intelligence across the various drives, the drivePLC enables modular machine designs. This simplifies commissioning and enhances reusability.
